  • The Institute of Direct Marketing (DMA) at theidm.com is the internationally recognised leading body for the professional development of direct, data and digital marketing. As a global provider, the IDM acts as an expert partner to individuals and companies worldwide. The mission of the IDM is "to be the standard bearer of professional excellence, setting the benchmarks for individual competence and actively supporting the lifetime professional development of all those engaged in direct and digital marketing."
  • The Direct Marketing Association of the United Kingdom (DMA) at www.dma.org.uk is a UK direct marketing trade association offering lobbying, events, research, and development. The site includes a membership directory, with links to direct marketing websites. As well as providing information on legislation and direct marketing codes of practice, the Direct Marketing Association creates and commissions reports related to the direct marketing sector. The searchable directoy of DM suppliers are all DMA member companies and who abide by the Direct Marketing Code of Practice.
  • www.mydm.co.uk is the Direct Marketing Association consumer site launched in 2005, part of their campaign to address growing public concern over 'junk mail' and 'telemarketing calls'. The site provides advice on how consumers can control the marketing information they receive from companies and brands they interact with regularly. There is also information on the preference services administered by the DMA for consumers who want to reduce the direct marketing approaches they receive via mail, telephone and fax.
  • The American Direct Marketing Association at http://www.the-dma.org/ is a site aimed at people doing direct, database, and interactive marketing, and contains direct marketing news, direct marketing research and details of direct marketing conferences.
  • The Australian Direct Marketing Association. Australia's principal body for information based marketing. Formed in 1966, ADMA has evolved to become the nation's pre-eminent marketing association representing over 500 member organisations. A national non-profit organisation based in Sydney, ADMA has State Branches in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia.
